For KiKongo to English I have experience translating personal correspondence and can often handle “difficult” handwriting; please see my Samples for an example. In the spring of 2004, I taught Kikongo through the African Languages Program at Harvard University. For the Centre d'Études Ethnologiques de Bandundu I translated from French into English two volumes of their Encyclopedia of Ritual Symbolics. This extensive work describes rituals practiced in the Bandundu region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This encyclopedia reports on cultural anthropology fieldwork from an area where KiKongo is commonly spoken as a second language.
