Ready to Respond to Your Patent, Scientific and Technical Translation Requests

At Bien Fait Translations, I,  Bruce D. Popp,  personally do all translation from French into English.

I am an experienced telecom professional with a doctorate in astronomy.  I am also ATA Certified for translation from French into English.  I am a US native and I have been a full time free-lance translator since 2002.

I specialize in: science (physics, astronomy, organic and pharmaceutical chemistry, and meteorology); math; telecommunications; computer software, hardware, operations and networking; medical devices; and electronics. I love translating patents!

I am a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the New England Translators Association (NETA). I am active in the NETA; I am a member of the Board of Directors and the organizing committee for the annual conference. I wrote two articles for the ATA Chronicle: How to Get and Use Your Own Internet Domain Name, that appeared in the April 2004 and Electronic Organization for Translators in March 2007.

My doctorate in Astronomy from Harvard University and my status as a full-member of the American Astronomical Society testifies to my expert knowledge and experience in astronomy, physics and math. A Bell Labs engineer for over 13 years, I worked on planning and designing equipment for SONET and ATM telecommunications networks, and software for network management and element management systems. This included customer contact (in French) with France Telecom and Belgacom. Subsequently I was a telecommunications technology, architecture and planning expert for the Chief Technology Officer of an optical networking service provider.
